Aftermath

Organic debris left from the 2006 Vancouver Stanley Park Storm is used for mark making this series about environment, memory and life cycles. The work not only references the west coast forest, weather patterns and the chaos of destruction but also the cycle of life death and regeneration. The resulting images are layered with a sense of chaos, destruction, power and energy, and the ravages and the regeneration of nature. They are intended to illicit in the viewer, reflection that connects their unconscious memories of landscape, life cycles, art and their interaction with the natural environment.
